Is it ok to send an ecard for Valentine’s Day?
January 6th, 2008
With Valentine’s Day coming soon you might be wondering if it’s socially acceptable to send out Valentine’s Day ecards rather than traditional greeting cards for Valentine’s Day especially to that someone special in your life. The answer is: it depends. You have to think about the recipient and what they will think. In many cases it is a perfect substitute, especially for people who are avid computer users and you can be sure they will receive the ecard on Valentine’s Day and be thrilled to get it. Others only check their email once a week and may think they’ve been forgotten on Valentine’s Day. If you will be seeing your loved one in person on Valentine’s Day then I would recommend sending an ecard during the day to brighten their day and let them know you are thinking of them and then a written card with a gift when you see them in person.
