Buy Swords that you Love
April 30th, 2008
For those looking to buy swords and being their collection, I have a piece of advice – collect what you love. Don’t let others dictate what you have on your walls and on display in your office. While I collect mostly historical replicas, I also have a fair share of blades from other genres, including fantasy swords and cartoon swords (like the Sword of Omens from one of my favorite old cartoons, Thundercats!). I know, however, that some out there frown upon collecting anything other than, say, replicas from medieval Europe or the various styles of Japanese katana. They believe that their collections are serious, while the others are collecting weapons that are too much a part of pop culture. To those people, I say, “Live and let live.” Everyone has his or her own loves and personality, and their sword collection should be a reflection of this. Collect what you love!
