Optimism And The Role Of TV In Our Society

Turn on the television news today and you are certain to hear news about the coming recession. Turn on the news tomorrow and the news will be the same. It has me thinking that it is time to turn off the TV.
In the real world, people are still calling me with regard to purchasing and renting a custom exhibit. My suppliers phones are so busy that it’s hard to get through. Crowds at trade shows are such that it is a hassle to get around. This probably qualifies as news. However, in our society, we are conditioned to think of news as bad news. Why else would anybody be watching these broadcasts?
