Dreaming - A Natural Altered State
June 13th, 2008
Many people are interested in finding ways to safely and legally experiment with altered states of consciousness. Of course, the simplest way to investigate consciousness is to sleep on it - literally.
We dream four to five times a night, and these dreams are a great key to consciousness exploration. But when I’m dreaming, I’m unconscious! That’s true, but the skill of lucid dreaming is easily learned. However, you don’t need to be an amazing lucid dreamer to reap the benefit of dreams. By remembering our dreams, we are inviting a window into our imaginary realm. Many people report that by beginning to pay attention to their dreams, their dreams become more dynamic, more colorful, and more rewarding.
Dreaming is an altered state of consciousness. It’s easy to focus on, it’s available every night, it’s legal, and it’s free!
