DVLA releases F prefix number plates

The date has at last been set for the release of the F prefix personalised number plates. October 2008 is th emonth they will go on sale. The numbers 1-20 will be available so numbers like F1 SUE and F10 OOK will be available to the public. The exact date has not yet been released and pricing is not yet available. Demand is expected to be high as this is the last release of prefix type registrations.

Lewis Hamilton has managed to buy the perfect personalised number plates for his Mercedes four by four. He paid over two hundred grand for the registration number LEW 1S. The offer was four times what the previous owner had paid but it was the only way to get him to part with the number. The registration first appeared when it was sold at a DVLA auction in 1990 where it sold for forty five thousand pounds.
